How to straighten a wig?

wig care

Can I straighten a wig by myself? It depends on the material of the wig.

Wigs are divided into synthetic fiber wigs and real human hair wigs according to materials. The synthetic fiber wigs are made of synthetic fibers, with poor fidelity, itchy sensation after wearing, and easy to react with the scalp. However, the price is cheap and the styling effect is long-lasting. The real human hair wigs are made of real human hair after processing. It has high fidelity, is not easy to knot, and can be dyed and permed. It is convenient to change the hairstyle, the price is high, and the qualitative effect is not very good. The wigs are inconvenient to be heated and straightened.

Therefore, synthetic wigs cannot be straightened. Wigs made of real human hair can be straightened.

1. Comb the hair

For straightening, comb your hair and pull it straight down at a 45-degree angle.

2. Use the splint

Then pulling the hair tips, straighten from the root of the hair, don't let the splint stay on the hair, especially when it reaches the end of the hair. Do not pull too much when pulling the hair tips, otherwise, the hair is dull and easy to be damaged.

3. Apply the styling agent

After straightening the hair, apply the styling agent from the root to the end of the hair, wait for about 20 minutes, then rinse it. Remember: When applying the styling agent, apply it evenly. It is recommended to apply nutrient oil to the hair 3 days after straightening to increase hair gloss.

The synthetic fiber wig deforms as soon as it is heated. Do not use a straightening plate. If the wig is made of real human hair, you can use a straightening plate to pull it, or you can use a hairdryer to blow it. If it is a synthetic fiber wig, it is best not to pull it, blow it with a hairdryer, but the temperature cannot be high, if the temperature is too high, the hair will be burned.
